Born in Sonora, Arizona, Rey Contreras is the uncle of Anissa Mersiowsky.  Rey was gifted in all the arts - majoring in Fine Arts, Rey graduated from Arizona State University in 1977.  Rey is married to Susan Contreras and they have two children, Veronica and Rey.  This is Rey's first time illustrating a children's book -- he did an amazing job! 

Rey currently owns and operates Alameda Sportswear, a custom logo design and embroidery business in Mesa, Arizona.
